В последните няколко години осъзнах, че всички нови продукти, излизащи сезонно всяка година, не могат да направят тази груба и драстична крачка напред, която да нарека иновативна. След появата на LG G Flex, който беше ревюиран от всички медии, включително и от Smart News, си помислих, че беше време за нещо по-различно! Вярно е, че разчитам много на ревютата, които има в мрежата, за да се насоча към правилното устройство, може би всеки от вас го прави. ОБАЧЕ! Аз съм човек, който обича да тества по най-практичния начин – прекарвам един месец с дадено устройство, ползвам го като свое, и то всеки ден. Поставям го в напълно реална среда и го ползвам за всичко, за което един смартфон може да се използва. Сдобих се с LG G Flex, за да прекарам един месец с него, подмамен от „Изкривения” дизайн и „Праволинейния” маркетинг, който съпровожда устройството на пазара.

След като LG пуснаха своите Curved телевизори просто останах зашеметен от качествената изработка, картината и остротата, която огънатият дисплей ми представи. Исках да разбера дали ефектът от огънатите екрани ще е същия и в мобилно устройство.
Когато фаблетът пристигна и го разопаковах, пред мен се откри един гигант, който едвам се побра в лицето ми – за момент си помислих, че са ми пратили мини версия на така бленувания от мен телевизор, за който ви споменах. Шест инча! Да, шест инча в ръката ми, а се усещат като поне десет. Признавам си, че предварителните ми очаквания бяха за лек фаблет с поносими размери, защото LG ни поднесоха именно това с LG G2 – малка рамка с огромен дисплей в нея, лек и удобен в ръката. Уви, LG G Flex, или както го наричам днес – Неносимият, е тежък, голям и абсолютно неудобен. Според мен класът на фаблетите е с устройства не по големи от Galaxy Note 3 на Samsung. Определено бих сложил G Flex в категория таблети.

След шока от размерите и от липсата на джобове с такъв размер, не се отправих към близкия магазин за дънки, а към офиса ни, където по това време се размотаваха няколко от настоящите флагмани, които исках да сравня с LG G Flex. Екранът на гиганта не ме впечатли и за миг, освен с големината си. Резолюцията е морално остаряла, като тези 1280 X 720 пиксела просто не заслужават вниманието ви, ако гледате устройство от този ценови клас, разбира се. Цветовете са бледи, а контрастът е слаб. Като цяло ъглите на виждане са много-добри, а ефектът от заобления екран е добър при гледане на филм, но не и в употребата му в самата операционна система. Когато свалите нотификационната лента, всичко е изкривено и странно, поне на мен този ефект не ми допада. Ако беше добавен Parallax ефект, подобно на iPhone, може би щеше да е по-интересно. Уви, цялостното ми мнение за LG G Flex ставаше все по-негативно.
Камерата е на средно ниво и не впечатлява, както ме впечатли камерата на LG G2. Определено не е лоша, напротив, но не може да се сравнява с други устройства в ценовия клас.
Разглеждайки всички елементи в LG G Flex стигнах до заключението, че това е устройство с параметрите на среден клас смартфон в опаковката на таблет с огънат дизайн, който привлича окото на гийкове като мен. Самопоправящият се гръб на устройството реално не е това, което ни се иска, и смятам, че е само един трик за повдигане на продажбите.

В софтуерно отношение няма нищо ново, което да подсили изживяването ви.

Няма нито едно приложение, което да е изработено специално за огънатия дисплей. Мислех си, че когато има екстра като тази, производителят ще иска да ни покаже по-специално как да я ползваме за максимален ефект.
След толкова негативи искам да кажа, че има силни страни, които не мога да игнорирам. Браузването на такъв дисплей е удоволствие, което може да постигнете само с таблет. Всичко е ясно и видимо, бързината е добра, а сайтовете се виждат ясно като бял ден. Ако търсите фаблет за браузване и гледане на филми, това е устройството, което не трябва да пренебрегвате! Батерията е издръжлива и се вписва перфектно в очакванията ми за този тип смартфон. При нормална употреба с екран, настроен на 75% светлина, LG G Flex издържа почти два дни. При балансиране на някои от опциите, както и спирането на 3G мрежата, когато нямате нужда от нея, ще постигнете още по-добри резултати.

С две думи, аз като бивш собственик на LG G2 и настоящ на LG G3 – бих се нарекъл огромен фен на флагманите на LG, смятам, че G Flex не може да се нарече флагман, както и че не оправдава високата си цена. Ако LG направят G Flex 2 с екран, който блести с висока резолюция и контраст, със сигурност ще ме спечелят, но дотогава оставам леко разочарован от този фаблет.
